Have characters that you're working on for a theater piece or web content?
Ludovica Villar-Hauser, the award-winning international director and dramaturg and Founder and Artistic Director of Parity Productions will give you an insightful, precise and thorough directorial consultation.
This package includes at least 4 hours of consulting with Ludovica.
Known for her skill and emotional insight as a director, Ludovica has directed a wide range of plays on diverse topics. Among them: the Off-Broadway premiere of Final Analysis by Otho Eskin at the The Signature Theatre; the premiere of Gregory Murphy’s The Countess which ran Off-Broadway for 634 performances and whose West End production she also directed; the Off-Broadway premiere of Leaves of Glass by English playwright Philip Ridley; As It Is In Heaven by Arlene Hutton at The Cherry Lane Theatre; Bold Girls by Rona Munro at the 29th Street Rep; and the New York premieres of A Dozen Perfect Moments, The Brightness of Heaven and Living Arrangements by Laura Pedersen. Previous to her many credits in New York, at twenty-three, Ludovica was the youngest woman ever to simultaneously produce and direct in London’s West End. Her production of O’Neill’s Long Day’s Journey into Night transferred after its initial run to a larger West End venue.
Ludovica is one of the few women to have owned and operated her own NY theatre – The Greenwich Street Theatre – which she ran for seventeen years, during which time she developed more than thirty new plays and presented the work of hundreds of theatre artists.
Ludovica is a recipient of NYWA's Galaxy Award, and has served on the Board of the League of Professional Theatre Women since 2009.
"Ludovica aligns herself with the actor and writer to get to the nuggets of truth. She's supportive and cleverly innovative as she moves you forward in your process. I recommend her to both actors, writers, and performers creating their own work." - Lauren LoGiudice, Actor, Writer, Funny Gal
