Janice Orlandi is a movement specialist and Master Teacher of Williamson Technique and Period Styles; Edwardian, Elizabethan and Restoration. Personally trained by Loyd Williamson for over a decade, who founded the Williamson Physical Technique for Actors, Orlandi is certified to train in The Williamson Technique. Recently trained with Anne Bogart, Tina Landau and SITI Company in Viewpoints, Suzuki and Composition. Orlandi currently teaches the Michael Chekov Technique for Actors and completed two year teaching training with the Michael Chekhov Association. Assistant Professor University of the Arts, Philadelphia, New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, taught movement Internationally at Acting Conservatories and Universities including: Mason Gross School of the Arts; Rutgers State University; Williamstown Theatre Festival; BAM, De Lindenberg in Netherlands; State Theatre School in Odense, Denmark; Ophelia Theatre School in Copenhagen and NYSSA New York State Summer School of the Arts. Founding Member of Expanded Arts & Shakespeare in the Parking Lot NYC. Featured in Backstage and American Theater Magazine in 2011 on the current trends in movement training in theater education. Currently writing a book on physical technique for the actor, The Art of Transformation; Crossing Pedagogy. Member of SAG/AFTRA, AEA, SSDC.
